He is one of Ukraine’s most prominent authors, known for his intense and intimate portrayals of life in the country’s eastern regions. In Danish, he has been published with, among others, Mesopotamien and Jeg slukker lyset som den sidste. Alongside his writing, he is an activist and musician, and is currently part of the Khartia Brigade in Kharkiv. Fortunately, he has been granted leave from the front to share his voice with audiences at Bogforum. Photo: Mariusz Kubik / Wikimedia Commons
