Schools and Institutions

Bogforum welcomes schools and upper secondary education institutions from across Denmark to meet the authors students read as part of their studies.

The aim is to open new worlds, spark curiosity, and foster an interest in stories and reflection that extends far beyond the classroom.

We hope that the authors - both as they are experienced on stage and through the themes they explore - will inspire and encourage a love of reading among students, especially those who might not otherwise seek out literature.

Events on the festival’s school stages are reserved for school classes with pre-booked tickets.

For Primary and Lower Secondary Schools

The programme for primary and lower secondary schools features some of Denmark’s most widely read authors of children’s and young adult literature. It is designed to align with the national curriculum for Danish and the requirements of the Open School framework. On stage, popular authors present one or more of their own works, making it possible to integrate a visit to Bogforum into the class curriculum and annual planning.

For Upper Secondary Education

The programme for upper secondary education features some of the most articulate and thought‑provoking voices in contemporary Danish literature - voices that, each in their own way, explore the themes that engage and challenge us right now, and continuously. On stage, authors present one or more of their own works, making it possible to integrate a visit to Bogforum into students’ reading plans.

In addition to access to the school programme, both students and teachers are welcome to explore the rest of Bogforum, as all registered participants receive all‑access wristbands granting entry to the entire fair throughout the weekend.
